The Environmental Group is an interdisciplinary team focusing on federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations in various settings including arbitration, litigation and administrative proceedings. We also represent parties to real estate and business transactions on environmental aspects of the transactions. Our lawyers draw upon the Firm’s experience in litigating environmental matters and handling business transactions that require compliance with environmental statutes and regulations.

Representation includes site assessment, management and remediation under applicable federal and state statutes, contribution indemnity and cost recovery matters involving contaminated sites based on CERCLA or state law, regulatory matters before the EPA, regional and local environmental agencies and water pollution and control issues under the Clean Water Act and the California Porter Cologne Water Quality Control Act including actual and potential ground water contamination and surface water contamination.

In addition, the Firm’s environmental lawyers provide guidance regarding the requirements for storage and handling of hazardous waste and response to hazardous materials spills. The Environmental Law Group is also experienced in representing clients in land use matters including local and regional government regulation and preparation of reports and statements under both the state and federal statutory guidelines.
