Since 1978, William Gillis has represented land owners, developers and builders, homeowners’ associations, title insurance and escrow companies, real estate agents, financial institutions, and individuals.
Mr. Gillis’ practice emphasizes real estate law, especially in the areas of land use, environmental compliance, acquisition, entitlement and development of real property, including creation and extinguishment of easements, creation of common interest developments, legal aspects of residential and commercial property owners associations, and advising property managers.

Mr. Gillis has been a speaker at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference and is a frequent speaker at various industry conferences and seminars on legal aspects of real estate in California.
Mr. Gillis Chaired the statewide legislative subcommittee for the California Building Industry Association (“CBIA”) that was instrumental in the development and adoption of Section 1375 of the California Civil Code.
